Rustic Ariccia Tomato Bruschetta
The bruschetta is a poor peasant dish of Italian cuisine, born from the necessity that the farmers had to keep bread, served mostly as a fast starter today.
It consists of a slice of toasted rustic bread ("toasted") in the oven or on the plate. The bruschetta can be served with an endless variety of ingredients, the most typical is the only oil but also tomato. Olive oil of good quality is essential for a great bruschetta.
Ingredients
8 slices of homemade bread
4 ripe tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic
basil
Extra virgin olive oil
salt
pepper
Preparation
Wash the tomatoes, empty them of the seeds and cut into cubes. Season with plenty of extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper. Add the basil leaves, washed and chopped by hand.
Cut the baked bread into slices and toast on the grill bruscandolo do it on both sides.
Rub the surface of the bread with a clove of garlic and seasoned with tomato.
Serve the tomato bruschetta as soon as it is ready, the bread hot.
Measures:

Ideas and variations:
You can flavor the mixture of tomato with black olives cut into pieces, or other herbs that is well matched with tomato sauce, such as oregano.
